Почуйте голос українських ветеранів. Це голос людей, які пройшли крізь пекло. Всеукраїнська профспілка учасників бойових дій, військовослужбовців та ветеранів війни оприлюднює Відкрите звернення до парламентів, урядів та народів демократичних держав світу.
Документ є зверненням українських ветеранів до міжнародної спільноти із закликом до єдності, посилення підтримки України, захисту міжнародного права та притягнення до відповідальності винних у воєнних злочинах.
ВІДКРИТЕ ЗВЕРНЕННЯ ДО ПАРЛАМЕНТІВ, УРЯДІВ ТА НАРОДІВ ДЕМОКРАТИЧНИХ ДЕРЖАВ СВІТУ
Почуйте голос українських ветеранів. Це голос людей, які пройшли крізь пекло.
Шановні парламентарі, глави держав, уряди, військові, офіцери, дипломати, представники міжнародних організацій!
Ми звертаємося до вас не заради співчуття.
Ми звертаємося заради правди.
Ми звертаємось від імені Всеукраїнської профспілкової організації учасників бойових дій, від імені тих, хто вже ніколи не зможе звернутися до вас сам.
Від імені тих, хто залишився лежати в українській землі.
Від імені тих, кого закатували в полоні, хто залишається в полоні.
Від імені вкрадених дітей, і тих які так і не дочекаються своїх батьків.
Від імені матерів, які більше ніколи не обіймуть своїх синів.
Від імені дружин, які щодня відкривають двері, сподіваючись на диво.
Ми — ветерани України.
Ми не просто бачили війну зблизька.
Ми її пройшли і проходимо вже тринадцятий рік.
Ми бачили смерть.
Ми бачили, як за кілька секунд сильний, усміхнений побратим падає поруч, смертельно поранений.
Ми бачили, як останнім подихом він говорить лише кілька слів:
«Бережіть Україну…»
або
Ідіть… Я прикрию…»
І він залишався.
Щоб жили інші.
Щоб жила Україна.
Ми пам’ятаємо кожне обличчя.
Кожен голос.
Кожен погляд.
Ми пам’ятаємо їхній сміх ще за хвилину до бою.
І пам’ятаємо страшну тишу після вибухів.
Ми ніколи цього не забудемо.
Світ уже знає назви Бучі, Ірпеня, Бородянки, Маріуполя, Ізюма, Херсона, Оленівки.
Але за кожною з цих назв — не статистика.
За ними — люди.
Родини.
Долі.
Мрії.
Життя.
Міжнародними організаціями задокументовано численні випадки воєнних злочинів: убивства цивільних, тортури, сексуальне насильство, незаконне утримання людей, насильницькі зникнення, депортації дітей, а також жорстоке поводження з українськими військовополоненими. Зафіксовано випадки позасудових страт і поширення відеозаписів обезголовлення українських військовополонених.
Ми не просимо вас повірити нам на слово.
Ми просимо подивитися на докази.
Подивитися в очі тим, хто повернувся з полону.
Послухати матерів, які впізнавали своїх дітей лише за ДНК.
Послухати дітей, які більше ніколи не почують слова «тато» і усвідомити який біль відчувають діти викрадені з України.
Після цього неможливо залишитися байдужим.
Україна за себе воює сама.
Україна просить, щоб правда не залишилася самотньою.
Щоб міжнародне право перестало бути лише словами.
Щоб злочини не залишилися без покарання.
Щоб життя людини знову стало найвищою цінністю.
Ми звертаємося до парламентів світу.
До кожного депутата, який голосує за рішення своїх держав.
До кожного уряду.
До кожного військового, офіцера, солдата, який знає ціну свободи.
До кожної людини, яка ще здатна відрізнити добро від зла.
Не дозвольте, щоб звірства стали новою нормою міжнародної політики.
Не дозволяйте звикнути до фотографій убитих дітей.
Не звикайте до повідомлень про закатованих військовополонених.
Не звикайте до сирен.
Не звикайте до війни.
Бо коли людство звикає до зла — зло починає перемагати.
Сьогодні український солдат стоїть не лише за Київ, Харків, Запоріжжя, Дніпро, Суми, Одесу чи Херсон.
Він стоїть за той світ, у якому свобода сильніша за тиранію.
У якому закон сильніший за насильство.
У якому людська гідність не продається за політичну вигоду.
Ми закликаємо парламенти, уряди та народи демократичних держав діяти спільно заради перемоги: посилювати підтримку України, створити Антипутінську Коаліцію, зміцнювати міжнародний тиск на державу-агресора, сприяти притягненню винних до відповідальності та захищати принципи міжнародного права.
Кожне ваше рішення сьогодні може врятувати життя завтра.
Кожен ваш голос може стати голосом на захист людяності.
Почуйте ветеранів України.
Бо ми говоримо не мовою політики.
Ми говоримо мовою втрат.
Мовою честі.
Мовою пам’яті.
Мовою тих, хто віддав своє життя, щоб жила свобода.
І якщо після цих слів ваше серце б’ється швидше, якщо ви відчуваєте біль за наших загиблих і закатованих побратимів та мирних людей, — нехай цей біль стане не лише співчуттям.
Нехай він стане рішенням.
Нехай він стане дією.
Нехай він стане підтримкою України.
Бо сьогодні, захищаючи Україну, ми разом захищаємо майбутнє світу.

OPEN APPEAL TO THE PARLIAMENTS, GOVERNMENTS, AND PEOPLES OF THE WORLD’S DEMOCRATIC NATIONS
Hear the voice of Ukrainian veterans. It is the voice of people who have walked through hell
Official Statement of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Combatants, Servicemen and War Veterans
OPEN APPEAL
Dear Members of Parliament, Heads of State, Government Officials, Military Personnel, Officers, Diplomats, and Representatives of International Organizations,
We are not addressing you to seek sympathy.
We are addressing you in the name of truth.
We speak on behalf of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union Organization of Combat Veterans, on behalf of those who will never again be able to speak to you themselves.
On behalf of those who now rest forever in the Ukrainian soil.
On behalf of those who were tortured in captivity and those who remain imprisoned.
On behalf of the stolen children, and of those who will never again see their parents.
On behalf of the mothers who will never embrace their sons again.
On behalf of the wives who open their doors every day, still hoping for a miracle.
We are the veterans of Ukraine.
We have not merely witnessed this war from close range.
We have lived through it.
We have fought it.
For the fifth year now.
We have seen death.
We have watched a strong, smiling brother-in-arms collapse beside us within seconds, mortally wounded.
With his final breath, he uttered only a few words:
“Protect Ukraine…”
or
“Go… I’ll cover you…”
And he stayed.
So that others could live.
So that Ukraine could live.
We remember
We remember every face.
Every voice.
Every look.
We remember their laughter only moments before battle.
And we remember the terrifying silence after the explosions.
We will never forget.
The world already knows the names of Bucha, Irpin, Borodianka, Mariupol, Izium, Kherson, and Olenivka.
But behind each of these names are not statistics.
Behind them are people.
Families.
Destinies.
Dreams.
Lives.
War crimes documented by the international community
International organizations have documented numerous war crimes, including the killing of civilians, torture, sexual violence, unlawful detention, enforced disappearances, the deportation of children, and the brutal treatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
They have also documented cases of extrajudicial executions and the circulation of videos showing the beheading of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
We are not asking you to take our word for it.
We ask you to look at the evidence.
Look into the eyes of those who returned from captivity.
Listen to the mothers who could identify their children only through DNA.
Listen to the children who will never again hear the word “Dad,” and understand the unbearable pain endured by those who were abducted from Ukraine.
After that, it becomes impossible to remain indifferent.
Ukraine asks the world
Ukraine is fighting for itself.
Ukraine asks only that the truth not be left alone.
That international law cease to be merely words.
That crimes do not go unpunished.
That human life once again become the highest value.
Our appeal
We appeal to the parliaments of the world.
To every legislator who votes on behalf of their nation.
To every government.
To every soldier, officer, and service member who knows the true price of freedom.
To every person who is still capable of distinguishing good from evil.
Do not allow atrocities to become the new norm of international politics.
Do not allow yourselves to become accustomed to photographs of murdered children.
Do not become accustomed to reports of tortured prisoners of war.
Do not become accustomed to air-raid sirens.
Do not become accustomed to war.
Because when humanity becomes accustomed to evil, evil begins to prevail.
Ukraine is defending the future of the free world
Today, the Ukrainian soldier is not standing only for Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Sumy, Odesa, or Kherson.
He stands for a world where freedom is stronger than tyranny.
Where the rule of law is stronger than violence.
Where human dignity is never traded for political convenience.
We call for action
We call upon the parliaments, governments, and peoples of the democratic world to act together for victory:
strengthen support for Ukraine;
establish an Anti-Putin Coalition;
intensify international pressure on the aggressor state;
help bring those responsible for war crimes to justice;
defend the fundamental principles of international law.
Every decision you make today can save lives tomorrow.
Every vote you cast can become a vote in defense of humanity.
Hear the veterans of Ukraine
Hear the veterans of Ukraine.
For we do not speak the language of politics.
We speak the language of loss.
The language of honor.
The language of remembrance.
The language of those who gave their lives so that freedom might live.
And if, after reading these words, your heart beats faster—if you feel the pain of our fallen and tortured brothers-in-arms, and of innocent civilians—let that pain become more than sympathy.
Let it become a decision.
Let it become action.
Let it become support for Ukraine.
Because today, by defending Ukraine, we are defending the future of the free world together.
